MMIH is a consolidation of several individual companies established by Maselaganye Petrus Matji since 2001. The founder, Petrus Matji, is a registered professional construction project manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and a registered professional hydrologist specializing in water resources with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP).
Matji is a globally respected leader in the water sector, with over 30 years of experience in water infrastructure, road infrastructure, strategy and policy development, and large-scale infrastructure construction management. He holds a combination of technical and financial qualifications and is renowned for designing infrastructure projects that stimulate local economies by supporting Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) and creating job opportunities.
Mr. Matji has extensive experience in governance, particularly within the public sector. His expertise has been gained through his role as a Non-Executive Director (NED) for various state-owned entities, including water boards, development finance institutions, and economic development agencies, since 2015.
